New Sandra Bullock Videos added

I added two new Sandra Bullock videos to our download section (requires free registration). #1 is Sandra Bullock ´s appearance on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno in 2003 which is known as the "Troop Special". Many people requested this video to be added so here it is! I also added a #2 video of Sandy and Hugh Grant at the Two Weeks Notice Press conference in New York.

Who looked the best on the red carpet?

Baltimore Sun has a little poll on who looked the best on the red carpet at the 78th Academy Awards (Oscars 2006). Sandra Bullock is in the lead with 30.8% of the votes at the time of this news post. If you think that's not enough vote for Sandy on their website (the poll is on the right). If you think it's enough votes still vote for her because you're a Sandy fan ;-)

Sandra Bullock will be Grace Metalious

This is actually a few days old but I missed it. Sandra Bullock will produce and also take the lead role in a movie about the very eventful life of the novelist Grace Metalious who wrote "Peyton Place".
Grace Metalious wrote the novel that scandalised a nation 50 years ago and eventually ruined her life. "Peyton Place" was loosely based on the New England town where Metalious lived, and told tales of sex and scandal in 1956. It became a best-seller, and was made into a movie starring Lana Turner and Hope Lange.
Metalious never recovered from her sudden notoriety. Her marriage collapsed, her three children were harassed, and she received hate mail and threats, which pursued her into alcoholism, causing her eventual death from cirrhosis in 1964, at the age of 39.
This sounds like a really interesting movie and a new tough job for Sandra Bullock! We´ re looking forward to it.

Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves to revive Speed?

Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock are in negotiations to revive the Speed franchise. The couple starred in the hit bomb-on-a-bus action film, but Reeves refused to be a part of the flop sequel, which featured Sandra Bullock and Jason Patric trying to steer a boat to safety. Now, after teaming up again for new movie "The Lake House" and attending the 78th Academy Awards (Oscars) together earlier this month the couple are interested in a possible "Speed 3". Movie news sources claim executives at Fox Studios have dragged the second sequel to the top of their priority lists and are looking for a good script.
No matter what this is an awesome story and I would love to see another movie made with Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock!

On the Shreveport, L.A., set of thriller Premonition, she has mock-scolded the movie´s director, Mennan Yapo, one day acting like a football ref and throwing a yellow flag at him for "too much time on the set" and another time teasing him for being on his phone when she was ready to shoot a scene. "She has been fantastic and fun to be around," says an insider. "She gets along well with everyone. In real life, she is the same way she is in all of her movies."

April 4th Crash is going to be re-released on DVD as a special edition version. It was long planned and now taken into reality after the awesome Crash-win at the 78th Academy Awards. The 2 DVDs have a really long feature list:

I should also add that this movie is not only mentioned here because Sandra Bullock has a supporting role in it, I also think it is an extraordinary good movie about racial problems and a good movie for everyone not only Sandy fans!

The Thing Called Love DVD
Also new is a The Thing Called Love DVD for which Sandra Bullock co-wrote her own song called "Heaven Knocking on My Door" which she performs herself in the movie. You can download the clip from our Sandy Sounds archive (free message board registration required).

The DVD is released as a widescreen director´s cut presented in Dolby Digital 5.1 and 2.0. Bonus materials include a commentary by director Peter Bogdanovich, The Thing Called Love: A Look Back featurette, The Look Of The Film featurette, Our Friend River tribute and the Original Theatrical Trailer.

"Crash" winning 3 Oscars - Best Picture!

Like no one could expect Crash surprised at the Oscars 2006 and won Best Picture, Best Original Screenplay and Best Film Editing. Many people predicted Brokeback Mountain to win the Oscar for Best Picture but the Oscars once again proove they are good for surprises!
I still can't believe it, this is also the first movie starring Sandra Bullock ever winning an Oscar! It was really about time.

Sandra Bullock at the Academy Awards tonight

Don´t forget to watch the Oscars 2006 tonight where Crash is nominated for 6 Oscars. Also Sandra Bullock is listed as a presenter at the show. I will record the show and post a video within the next days so be sure to check the site!
