Crash, no Cash?

Author and Director Paul Haggis as well as Actors Sandra Bullock, Matt Dillon, Don Cheadle and others haven't seen much of their promised money yet. Although the movie could only be made because the actors agreed to a symbolic amount of 19,000 USD as payment for the movie they all had a percentage of the movie gross in their contracts. Overall the movie grossed more than 180 million USD but no one except executive producer Bob Yari has seen any of this money. Two other producers supposedly didn't get payment at all. I don't know what's wrong with Bob Yari but he should sure fairly share the money. I think it's a common misconception of Hollywood that producers receive so much money while the true artistic work lies with the authors, directors and actors.

Sandy believes in Ghosts!

German Tommy Magazin writes that Sandra Bullock believes in ghosts. "I know this sounds crazy, but I am pretty sure", Sandy said in an interview with TV Movie (translated by author). "A few years ago I have seen them with my own eyes in a house. A few times." She was seeing a hand or a face which wasn't really there. "But the longer I think about it that there is more than we can see, the less frightened I am".
I thought this was a pretty funny article, unfortunately I don't have the complete interview from TV Movie.

I'm Too Ugly For Surgery

Female First Writes:
Sandra Bullock says she is too ugly to ever need plastic surgery. The Miss Congeniality star insists she is not beautiful enough to need a face-lift. She said: "Surgery is not for me. Luckily, my job hasn't been based on being a sex kitten or being the most beautiful girl of the lot, or a fashion icon. If I don't feel like I can age with my job, I won't do it any more." Bullock shot to fame alongside Keanu Reeves in Speed in 1994. The two stars are now both appearing together in the new movie "The Lake House".
We fans very well know though how beautiful our Sandy is and of course there's no plastic surgery needed to improve it!

Smart and Thrilling - The Lake House

I was really happy when my girlfriend told me there would be a Lake House preview at our cinema a few days before the official start, so we immediately got tickets. We both very much enjoyed the movie! The story is very smart and deepgoing. It's no popcorn blockbuster that will reach high box office numbers but it is just one of those movies a movie-goer shouldn't miss if s/he wants more than just the thrill without a smart story.
Personally I think it's by far the best Sandy movie for a long time and also Keanu Reeves does a perfect job with her. Sandra Bullock is brilliant in dramatic roles and when you see her play the role you could actually believe it's no role!
