It´s all about "Crash" vs. "Brokeback Mountain"

It seems there will be a final showdown at the Oscars between these two movies with 6 nominations for Crash and 8 for Brokeback Mountain. I personally have never seen Brokeback Mountain and I don´t think it was in cinemas here at all but many people expect it to win. When you look closely at the critics many state that Crash should be the clear winner though. Crash is a movie about racial tensions in Los Angels also starring Sandra Bullock. So let us join together in 20 days in front of our TVs and watch the Oscars 2006!

Filming "Premonition"

Channel 6 news reports that filming of "Premonition" began shooting in Shreveport today around Shreveport´s Creswell Elementary School. Streets in-and-around the area are blocked off today by Shreveport police. Filming is expected to continue through Wednesday afternoon. When the Caddo Parish School Board agreed to allow crews to shoot there, they expected students to be used as extras. "Premonition" stars Sandra Bullock and Julian McMahon and is categorized as a Thriller. Sandy really seems to change the genre away from romantic-comedies.

Sandra Bullock tears down her Austin house

The Sunday Times reports today that Sandy will flatten her "house of horrors" in Austin.
Sandra Bullock spent years designing the lakeside mansion in Austin, complete with towers and spires, a spa, library and cinema. But two nights after moving in she moved out again, claiming that the house was a potential deathtrap with a leaking roof, toxic mould, unsafe firefplaces, faulty wiring and crumbling walls.
Sandy sued her builders, winning 7m dollars in damages and penalties. She has not yet been able to collect the money to carry out repairs and has opted instead for a cheaper solution: tearing the house down and starting again.
