Sandra Bullock wins an Oscar at the 82nd Academy Awards

Wow, so long I didn't post any updates. At the 82nd Academy Awards, Sandy won the Oscar as the best actress for her movie role in "The Blind Side" just one day after receiving the Razzie Award as the worst actress for her role in "All About Steve", which makes this moment even greater! I am ready too see the two movies when they are in cinemas here in Germany and congratulations to you Sandy! Greetings from Germany :)

"Die Vorahnung" - October 11th in Germany

The preview tour for Premonition ("Die Vorahnung") is over. The fans who didn't have a chance to see it at one of the previews only have to wait a few days until October 11th, when the movie is released nationwide in Germany and Austria. Before that date I will also have a little info page up for the movie in our promo section so stay tuned!

Also thanks a lot to Mennan Yapo who gave our moderator Anja and camera guy Tommi an interview at the preview in Hamburg. Together with Kinowelt we arranged a meeting with the German director of "Die Vorahnung". The interview will be up some time this week!

Premonition - "Die Vorahnung" - Preview Tour

The German director Mennan Yapo, who was born in 1966 in Munich, will tour 3 big cities in Germany for the first public cinema screenings of "Die Vorahnung" (Premonition), a thriller with Sandra Bullock and Julian McMohan. Mr. Yapo also directed the, in Germany successful, movie "Lautlos" in 2004.

Ryan Reynlods to wed Sandra Bullock in "The Proposal"

According to Hollywood Reporter Ryan Reynlods is in final negotiations to star opposite Sandra Bullock in the Disney romantic comedy "The Proposal". Sandy plays a demanding boss who suddenly faces deportation to Canada. She makes a deal with her young assistant (Reynolds) to agree to a sham engagement and marriage. Reynolds, a Canadian native, most recently starred in "Smokin' Aces" and recently wrapped the indie drama "Fireflies in the Garden" with Julia Roberts.

Premonition Premiere in Berlin

Currently the Fantasy Film Fest takes place in Berlin, Germany and today they will show the Germany premiere (in English language) of Premonition (Die Vorahnung) at 9.30 pm (21:30) at the Cinemaxx Theater Potsdamer Platz. Unfortunately I read this a little late and can't go, but if you're not sure what to do tonight now you know! The Cinemaxx bar offers cocktails for 4,50 EUR (Happy Hour price) until 9 pm (21:00). Sandy can afford movies that "bomb"

This is a headline as it could be read a few days ago in a gossip magazine. Although I don't think that her movies are bad just because they are no box office hits, they are probably right when saying Sandra Bullock doesn't worry too much if the movie she's starring in crashes at the box office, for she's got enough of money to last her for the rest of her life. Sandy is the 14th richest female celebrity with an estimated fortune of 85 million dollars. The headline came after her last movie Premonition got really bad reviews (e.g. 8% from Rotten Tomatoes). But hey, since when are the critics right ;-)
One good thing for Sandy is, as she says herself "I can now choose the roles that I want to do rather than ones that I think will make money".

Sandra Bullock and Jesse James rode into downtown to see Prince

This is from Star Tribune: "Word is that Sandra Bullock and Jesse James had a makeup-related pit-stop Saturday on the way to a Prince concert.
According to e-mailers, the Hollywood couple told them that they flew in for the concert and took a limo downtown. At Macy's Lancome counter, Bullock bought lip gloss, which she had apparently forgotten to pack, along with other items, a store staffer told me.
At the Timberwolves arena, Bullock and James had seats near the front row for the show, according to one e-mailer."

Happy 2 Years Anniversary!

2 Years ago Sandra Bullock and Jesse James got married so today is their second Anniversary! All the best to them and may the future be so bright as the past.

The folks at Oxygen are devoting two full hours to toasting "The 50 Funniest Women Alive," Saturday night at 8 and again at 10. Sandy is on spot number 15. Check out the show, maybe they have some clips of her on it.

Die Vorahnung

Thanks to Anja for this update. The German title for Premonition will be "Die Vorahnung" and it will be released in cinemas in October. While the English version is available on DVD already the movie has yet to be released in German.
Kinowelt also opened the official German Premonition website. There's a good trailer right on the start page!

Sandy in more magazines

Sandy was in the May 21st issue of Life & Style showing her ellegant dress from the Premonition premiere. There's also two pictures in today's Star issue comparing her loss of the weight in the last months. Last but not least, Sandra Bullock is also shown in People Magazine (21st May issue) with a dress from Alberta Ferreti.

No more George Lopez Show

The Los Angeles Times reports that ABC has cancelled the George Lopez show which was produced by Sandra Bullock. George Lopez himself commented it with the words "TV just became really, really white again". So True! Goerge Lopez was the first latino ever to lead a US TV Show. ABC's reason for cancelling show are simple, ABC president of prime-time entertainment, called him over the weekend to explain that "financially" it wasn't working out, that the network would lose money if it picked up the show again. How sad!

Sandy at MET Costume Institute Benefit Gala

Actress Sandra Bullock attended the Metrpolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Benefit Gala "Poiret: King Of Fashion" today, in New York City. Sandy was wearing a sexy wine red dress at the Gala (Thread also includes HQ pictures).
The musuem shows various costumes from Europe, Asia and America that have been used throughout the past epoches. You can also check out the MET website for more information.

Another crazy Sandy stalker

Sandra Bullock was involved in some real life drama this past weekend. A woman reportedly obsessed with Sandra Bullock tried to wipe out Sandra’s husband Jesse James on Sunday night. Sandra was reportedly watching on with as Marcia Valentine "attempted 3 or 4 times to run Jesse James over with her silver Mercedes." Thankfully, the crazy lady did not hit him even once. Before the cops arrived the crazy lady had fled the scene and after an intense manhunt they located her and took her into custody on Monday morning. She is being held on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon. That's really crazy! You can join in on the discussion in our forums.

George Lopez First and Second Season on DVD

The George Lopez Show which is produced by Sandra Bullock will be released to DVD on April 17th (US) in its complete first and second season. In a few shows Sandy also had a cameo role, so be sure to check it out.

Premonition Box Office Data

Sandy´s movie Premonition is still doing very well in the box office. As of April 12th, its total worldwide gross was 54,4043,505 USD with 45,717,189 USD coming from the US.
As a comparison, The Lake House grossed 47,330,735 USD in the same period in the US. In the UK Premonition wins the comparison with 7,438,192 USD total gross so far (The Lake House grossed 5,278,471 USD in the same period).
Well, way to go Sandy! We in Germany have to wait a little more unfortunately because Premonition won't premiere until autumn.

Sandra Bullock to act in Iceland?

According to IcelandReview Sandy is set to star in the movie Agenda 1, which will be shot in Iceland at the end of this year. The film´s director and producers are said to have fallen in love with the landscape of the Westfjords. Olatunde Osunsanmi, the director of the movie, and representatives from Dead Crow Production and Focus Film, which cooperate on the production of the movie, visited Iceland last year. There´s no word on the plot of the movie.
Considering that Sandy is probably busy with dance lessons for her new movie "Kiss & Tango", I don't know if this news is correct. But if we get another Sandy movie it´s great!

Sandra Bullock not pregnant (no Aprils Fool ;-))

Sandra Bullock has repeatedly shot down reports that she´s pregnant with her and husband Jesse James´ first child, but she understands why people might have been talking - she had one burger too many and doesn´t regret it at all.
"I went through this whole phase where I just didn´t work out, and I ate, and I was happy, and I was round. That´s when everyone thought I was pregnant - and I went, 'Bring it on! I´m gonna bring back Botticelli (artist famous for painting large women).' I loved the way I felt in my body. I loved where the curves were."
